Kick off the summer season with an open house at the Museum campus in Edgartown and the opening of new exhibits. See our newest exhibition The Local Immigrants Project in the galleries, check out a new Spotlight exhibit profiling Island immigrants from MV history, and visit the 18th century Cooke House for the first time in 2017.
The Museum partnered with Island photographs Mila Lowe to present the Local Immigrants Project, an exhibition featuring photographs taken by Mila of year-round residents of Martha’s Vineyard who moved here from all over the world to make this Island their home. Interview excerpts recorded by Laural Redington and stories of Milena’s subjects will also be featured in the exhibition. Funding for this project is provided by the Permanent Endowment Fund of Martha’s Vineyard.
This event is free, and open to all. Join us!
